Bachmeier is the affix of Jane &
Sue Atherton and is German for `Farm by the Brook` which we thought suited
us as we are located by the River Erewash. At the end of 2005 we joined
forces with Michelle & Tink Baker. Jane and Michelle have now also been
granted the affix `Shnuja`. This comes from Sh from Shell, n from Tink, u
from Sue and ja from Jane.
Our German Shepherd
kennels are situated in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, between junction 26/27
of the M1. We partisipate in both showing and breeding quality German
Shepherds. We regularly show our dogs at Championship Shows throughout the
United Kingdom including Ireland. During the last year or so we have
brought some of the best bloodlines into our kennel that Germany and the
UK has to offer. All our dogs are hip scored and our males blood tested
for Haemophilia. We only believe in quality and strive to improve the
breed wherever possible. All our German Shepherds have a superb outgoing
nature and are a pleasure to be around and they are happy to welcome
friends both old and new.
Conival Indigo or Murphy
as he is known to all is the dog who has got us `noticed`, he has really
done us proud since we started showing him. He has been trained by Marie
Davis and is superbly handled by Michelle Baker. `Murphy` has not only
been placed consistantly at championship shows but he won his class at the
GSD most premier show `The GSD Joint Two Day National 2005 & followed that
up by winning his class at Crufts 2006.
Training Area
OSCAR BEFORE WE HAD GSD`S WE BRED STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIERS FOR ABOUT 16 YEARS. ALTHOUGH WE HAVE NEVER SHOWN THEM, THEY OFTEN WENT TO SHOW HOMES. ONE IN PARTICULAR `GOLDEN STATES AMBER OF ROCELLIO` WAS EXPORTED TO CALIFORNIA, USA, WHO ALTHOUGH LIGHTLY SHOWN, HER OFFSPRING WENT ON TO PRODUCE SEVERAL AMERICAN CHAMPIONS.
